Start your tour form your hotel lobby and visit the Akshardham Temple, dedicated to Lord Swaminaraya. See its impressive intricately carved stone and manicured gardens. Explore the five separate halls with over 200 idols of Hindu Gods, and the exhibition hall with displays reflecting central ideas of Hindu culture and values.

Next, head to Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, a sublime ode in stone to the extraordinary architectural legacy of the African diaspora in India. Although their forefathers were originally brought to India as slaves and maritime laborers, the descendants of these Africans rose to positions of power as military commanders in the armies of the sultans and became great patrons of art and architecture.and marvel at its arc-shaped architecture. See the beautiful artwork in the mosque, including the Tree of Life, and the lattice stone window, adopted by the reputed Indian Institute of Ahmedabad.

Take a break and savor lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to Hutheesing Jain Temple. An affluent Jain trader Sheth Hutheesing Kesarisinh planned to build a sacred Jain Temple. However before he could see his dream come true he died at the age of 49. His third wife Shethani Harkunwar took the task in her hands and supervised the construction of the temple.

Finally, visit Adalaj Step Well, a five-storey step-well on the outskirts of Ahmedabad. Perhaps the finest stepwell in Gujarat, Adalaj was built in 1555. What makes this stepwell the most beautiful amongst other is its series of platforms and galleries built on the side of the stepwell. It looks like a tales of unrequited passion and events are revolving around it. Proceed downstairs and feel the cool atmosphere.
