Join a New Delhi family and learn to cook delicious pakoras, Indian chai tea and more on a 4-hour cooking demonstration and dinner at a local household. Dress up in colorful saris, or turbans for men, and experience Indian culture up-close.
Explore the vegetarian culinary scene of North India on this 4-hour cooking demonstration and dinner with a local New Delhi family, and experience Indian culture up-close-and-personal.
You will start your tour from a central city location, where a guide will meet you and assist with public transportation to the home of your hosts. Here, you will get a traditional Indian welcome, before being invited into the kitchen to learn to make chai (Indian masala tea).
You will also prepare and cook authentic pakoras, chutney, and even try to hand roll chapattis. The guide will be on hand to act as interpreter between you and family members for added assistance should it be needed.
To add to the fun, you can dress in traditional Indian saris (for women) and turbans (for men). Once everything is ready, it’s time to sit down to a delicious family dinner, including a tasty Indian dessert. Your guide will take you back to the start point, or can arrange a tuk-tuk or taxi if you prefer.

My friend and I took this tour a couple of month ago and had the great pleasure to meet such an amazing and welcoming family. I personally enjoy cooking and just being in the kitchen, and doing so and learning how to cook indian food was inspiring and fun of course. Thank you for your hospitality and the awesome food! Christina.
This was a great activity our first day in India. From the moment we arrived at the family's home we were made to feel as VIP guests. We learned how to cook several items, using a hands-on technique, and we were also given the opportunity to dress up in traditional garments to set a special mood for dinner.
