Drive to Bhigwan would take approximately 2 hours. Bhigwan is a small village around 100 kms away from Pune and is also referred to as the “Bharatpur of Maharashtra”, as it becomes a hotbed of migratory birds during the winter. Bhigwan is at one end of the huge Yashwant Sagar reservoir, forming the backwaters of the Ujain dam.

Some of the famous birds are, The rudy shelducks or Brahminy ducks are winter visitors to South Asia. Ciconia episcopus, is a large stork about 80 cm in height. It is a shining black colour bird, with white woolly neck and white belly. The breast and lesser wing coverts are purple glossed. Black drongo, is black in color with dark blue gloss. Its iris is dark crimson brownish, and it has a small white spot near gape. The Eurasian Spoonbill (Platalea leucorodia) is a migratory bird which breeds in Europe in summer and visits South Asia and Africa in winter. Red-naped Ibis, Pseudibis papillosa is large bird seen all cross Indian planes. Small Indian Pratincole (Glareola lactea), is a 17 cm, small wader bird . It is a resident bird. The spotted owlets, Athene brama are small owls, which are often seen in a group of 3-4 birds, in open country and many more. 

Enjoy visiting this amazing site on hilltop. Bhuleshwar is famous for the temple of Lord Shiva. The temple is situated on a hill and was built during the era of Yadavas.

Originally, it was a fort called as 'Mangalgadh'. The temple was built in the 13th century. There are beautiful carvings that dominate the walls from the beginning, enhancing its stone structure. Bhuleshwar has historical significance as it is the place where Devi Parvati danced for Lord Shiva and after they went to Kailas and get married.
